Friends

I had to post at least once today, so I could use this user pic. My paid account is about to expire and I'm going to lose most of my pics anyway. :-(

Trying to keep my head above the water with nanowrimo, and not really succeeding. Something about changing my story 3K words in. I suppose I could always count that 3K from the first try, but that feels like cheating.

Tonight I am headed down to a friend's house in Pataskala, so we can get up at a really freakin' early hour and drive to Baltimore for Faeriecon. I'm excited to finally meet Charles de Lint, looking forward to some of the discussion panels, and really wish I'd had more time to work on my costumes for the balls. I made the good faerie costume from scratch (even dyed all the fabric!) and it is almost done, but the bad faerie costume is assembled from other costume pieces. That whole costumer/belly dancer/goth thing is totally working out right now.

Anyway, I'm just over 6K words, so I need to get another 2K in before I start the packing frenzy. Trying not to panic about going to this con totally broke.

So, writing. Packing. Shopping for food. Ballet. Then off on a great adventure.
